In Fukui, there are many Soto Zen temples, mainly Eiheiji Temple.
One of these temples, Enichizan Kongoin, built in the neighborhood of Tabaki, is a historic Zen temple founded in 1433.
The temple’s abbot, Suwa Fugen, wishes that “people with or without connections to Buddhism and temple come into contact” with the Buddha in any way they can.
It is Approxmate 20minutes walk from Tabiki, so a visit is recommended during a stroll through Echizen Takefu.
